SDI 19 Scheme for Installers of Smoke Control Systems gains UKAS approval

UKAS has confirmed IFC Certification’s scope extension which incorporates nine additional scopes to the existing IFC UKAS accreditation. This includes the SDI 19 Scheme for Installers of Smoke Control Systems and means the scheme is now officially UKAS approved.

The IFC SDI 19 Certification scheme is open to contractors involved in the installation of smoke control systems and SCA members who install smoke control systems are required to apply for and receive accreditation as a condition of membership

Smoke Vent Limited have successfully completed the requirements of IFCC Scheme SDI19 ‘Requirements for Contractors Installing Smoke Control Systems’. The IFCC SDI19 certification scheme has been developed by the Smoke Control Association (SCA) – of which Smoke Vent Limited is a member – in partnership with IFC Certification.
